Nissan Figaro Uprated Gearbox Inhibitor Bushing

Description

The Nissan Figaro is equipped with a 3 speed automatic gearbox which is perfectly suited to the output of the 987cc turbocharged engine. The engine is designed not to start if the gearbox has been left in gear to protect the gearbox, its occupants and the vehicle itself. A small inhibitor bush is fitted to the gear selector cable ends, one on the gearbox and one on the base of the shifter mechanism, and can shrink, become brittle and crack over time causing the non start issue. You can wiggle the shifter when trying to start the car and this can sometimes work and can be an instant diagnosis of the issue. A small and inexpensive part, the inhibitor bush is a very common problem, very easy to change and it is usually only the front one that tends to fail.

These all new bushings are uprated and manufactured from an engineering grade nylon. They are a tight fit and are designed to outlast the original Nissan Item.
