The Nissan Figaro is equipped with a 4 cylinder, turbocharged and fuel injected MA10ET powerplant designed specifically for the chassis. The platform uses 4 ECU controlled, sequentially fired injectors to inject highly atomised fuel into the combustion chamber for efficient mixing of the fuel and air to gain the best and most effective combustion of fuel. Over time, these injectors can start to lose efficiency, their ability to atomise correctly and can cause a host of running issues from hunting idle, misfires, very poor mpg, black smoke from the exhaust to name a few.
